If you drive out of your alignment shop with the steering wheel not centered , it’s time to find a different shop !!!

 

sounds like bad luck. I don’t ship a vehicle until the alignment is perfect and test driven. I don’t work for a place that has the lifetime alignment.

 

I used to teach that the first and the last step of an alignment was a road test.

 

My favorite tool in the whole wide world !! 1936 camber/caster plumb gauge. I've had this in my hand every week day since 1980 until last summer when I quit. The shop closed a week later and I got a chance to buy it a couple months ago.

I've aligned about any and every car or truck you can think of with it. The most accurate gauge I've ever used. I have used magnetic gauges, bubble gauges, laser gauges and now I'm using a computerized system but this is still my Ole' faithful.

Can adjust and calibrate it to true °0 in just a couple minutes with no fancy tools or equipment needed.

Even our rep for our computerized system said that gauge is as accurate as anything he could sell us provided the mechanic knew how to read it properly.... which I do
