You know, I was going to get upset that you sold the incredibly ugly caravan, but now I understand. BTW, I sent you a pic of the Galaxie, did it not make the cut?
Since the only Nomad i like is the '55 with the open rear wheel opening, that '56 twodoor wagon is my favorite '56 or '57 Chevy wagon. Good deal!
I'd say that is an inventory exchange worth making. However, I must admit that I am turning new shades of green over that wagon...
Looks like its been over here for a while.....whats the story. I bet you paint it yellow/white & put curtains in it!
Thanks for the comments fellas. I don't know too much about it, but it's a 150 handyman wagon, it's V reg which means it was imported in about 1980. Apparently it was****embled in Belguim, where it was used as a hearse. The tailgate has been modified into a one piece lift up unit, which suits me as I find a drop down tailgate a pain to lean in over. It has a 350/350 combo and has discs on the front. It needs some rust repair in the rockers and other work, but tri-5 wagons are rare in the UK and especially a 2 door. I imagine it will be out for the summer, but wheels day is too soon and too far for me. Nostalgia Nats probably more do-able. I can flat tow Old Rusty behind it, should be cool. If any UK rodders know anything about it, I'd love to know. It may have been black with flames at one point. Mart.
Good call on ditching the beemer, they run sweet right up to the instant the engine frags.... and mysteriously, if they have a couple cylinders left and no obstructions, they will technically KEEP running... and START again... crazy krauts...
