  2. Friday we arrived at the host motel...

Fellow hamber Barry (ratrodO) has been on this run several times in the past had traveled from Douglasville,Ga only to experience a transmission failure in the host motel parking lot Friday evening,Saturday morning he had lined up a rollback to take the car to a transmission shop.

I haven't heard from him yet but I'm sure he will chime in soon.

By the time for our 8 PM dinner we had a big turn out, even had to drag in another table.

So this year we had 31 Deuces,a lot of first timers and several Hambers from near and far.

    Missouri,Virgina,Georgia,North Carolina,South Carolina,New Jersey,Illinois and Maryland.

Max hasn't ever missed this run and drove his Cabriolet to the starting destination but he said he was having brake problem and being the elder statesman on the run at 88 years young decided to ride with someone on the run.

Tom, in a red deuce sedan came to see us off but couldn't go on the run, plus several hambers that don't have a deuce stop by to talk and see us off,I always enjoy see these guys too.

So 29 Deuces went on the run.

Like Tom,we experienced camera problems also, bought a new camera and just didn't learn how to use it properly.

Never the less, here is what I have to offer, poor quality but some nice cars. HRP

  3. We pulled out of the shopping center and unlike the past we had several police officers block the road to allow us all to leave together.

  4. Danny, Thanks to you and Bill for putting this together. As always I had a great time!

BTW, that wreck we saw on the way home was a fatailty. The 18 wheeler was stopped for the light and a guy going the other way crossed the median and hit him. :(

  5. we had a great lunch at Canyons and John,Tom,john and I left about 3:30 PM,we parted company with Tom(seadog) in Shelby and continued on our way, until John # 2 had a coilover break and the car sit down on the inside body lip.

We were able to get a block of wood inserted between the axle and frame, held in place with my belt and although our speed was greatly reduce to about 45 MPH and we had to get off the interstate and travel the back roads we all got home around 9 PM.

All in all it was a great run and I'm already looking forward to next year, thanks to all that made the effort to attend,we appreciate it. HRP

  7. Sorry to hear you all had troubles. 3 window John or 5 window John? It's a shame it had to happen after you passed my house, I have a bunch of springs sittting on the shelf...would have been glad to contribute one to the cause.

  8. 3 window John, actually it was the coil shock that broke.

I started seeing puff's of smoke of the passenger side rear tire every time he hit a hard bump,so we found the problem when we stopped for gas. HRP

Having read about the All Deuce Run for 4 years on the H.A.M.B., it was finally our time to make the trip. 851 miles later we arrived at the starting point for the All Deuce Run. Here are some pictures that we took of the event. The first few are from the Friday night dinner, many from the Target parking lot where we assembled Saturday morning and a few on the road. We would like to thank everyone who put this event on and all of the participants. We were extremely pleased with how friendly everyone was. It made for a great time to meet and mingle with people that we had never met before and feel so welcomed and comfortable. A big Thank You to HRP who along with his wife Brenda were such gracious hosts. We travelled a total of 1833 miles in our '32 Ford in the last 5 days.

The green roadster was at LARS last year. We followed him for the first 30 miles or so, nice car, lots of interesting or unusual design features including most importantly if you are following, BRIGHT brake lights!

  21. Yes,Bobby drove out last year with a group of guys from North & South Carolina and was involved in a accident because some idiot women driving in the fast lane on I-20 decided to slam on brakes.

I won't show the damaged roadster but you will notice they were able to make repairs and the car was sporting a black radiator shell. HRP
