Only known patch is the bottom of the battery box had to be repaired sometime in the past. I suspect due to battery leakage . Car lived on the Delta Queen for 17 years as a 4 cylinder “B” car. Engine built in 1955 by Joe Reath Automotive for use in a hydroplane project . Clay smith camshaft Mercury crankshaft 1/4” stroke Block 0.155 overbore =281 cu. Inch Ported, polished and relieved Johnson adjustable lifters , block drilled for lifter adjustment Mallory electronic ignition 56 Ford 12 volt Generator Nickle plated Reds Headers Lightened Flywheel Offenhauser heads 39 pickup transmission with 46 to 48 gears 32 “B” gears 1940 Ford front brakes, Buick finned front drums 37 Ford horn ****on Super Cool radiator Everything works on the car as it should including lights and windows . Tires are Coker Radials , less than 100 miles on them. Car was driven on a 200 mile round trip this past summer with no problems or issues . I am selling the car only as I bought a 32 Roadster and don’t have storage for it. If you are looking for a period correct flathead hot rod, I don’t think there is a finer example left in the United States today . Engine does leak a bit of oil like most all flathead engine so I do keep a drip pan under it.
