Have an 8ba in a 41 coupe with wide pulleys, fan was originally on crank but during rebuild it was found that the crank pulley was cracked and was replaced with a 2 sheave pulley. I got a new fan ***embly from Van Pelt and when installed I see that all the pulleys line up with the one crank pulley. Need to know what I need to change.

I ran my 221 that way without any issues.

Sounds like you have a good mismatch of years in your parts.

Which water pumps do you have? That sounds like the problem. Truck pumps have a longer shaft that sits more forward than the p***enger pumps. If you can pull up a picture of the pumps on a vendor web site you will see the difference. Most of these engine swaps use the early truck pumps with the mount ears on the side. You also need the 8BA generator/ alternator mount and fan hub/ shaft. That's what I used on my '42. Makes everything line up perfectly.

After looking at some pictures of oil filled hubs ,it appears that the pulley on some is closer to front near fill screw, mine is towards the rear - got it new from Van Pelt - is there more than 1 hub available? It does seem that having the pulley further towards the front would solve my problem - I have thought about moving the pulley to accomplish this - hate to work on brand new parts, but if it solves my problem...

Depends on which engine you're using. The original oil filled hub is adjustable fore and aft. That is probably what you need. Used on trucks only after '48. I know they were standard on cars and trucks for many years ('42 - '48) until the narrow belts came into use. The right hub is oil filled, wide belt with about 8 - 12 bolts on the fan blade.
