A few weeks ago I thought I'd post my Ol Beater '32 on HAMB about 10 pm and take it off the next day at lunch....just to see what the interest and market was before going to NSRA Louisville...buy 6am the next morning I had 6 calls.....one of which I made the mistake of giving a price that would buy my '32....Don in OKC ...(Da34guy)...called my bluff and bought it.......well......here I was hunting again......had talked with a guy about another one a few months back...it was going to Australia...man ended up not being able to go through with the deal because of gov. regulations and fees......long story/short...owner emailed me to see if I was still interested...........brought it home yesterday evening........I'll learn to run my mouth about putting stuff up for sale, but in the long run, I'm much happier with this one....................................Tanner 20140816_111740_resized.jpg 20140816_111740_resized.jpg 20140816_112215_resized.jpg

NICE! I judge cars by the rear tire to fender fit, that one is perfect. Bob

Looks like you replaced a good '32 with a better '32. Congrats, that rear tire to fender fit is to die for.

We used to race round track stock cars and on the back door it read in big letters....."BEHIND THIS DOOR LIES A DISEASE EVEN THE LOVE OF A GOOD WOMAN CAN'T CURE...STOCK CAR RACING!".......after I've got back into Hot Rods...I think the same saying applies....except I don't trailer it any more.

hey Don, not only did I find another Steel 5 Window, but a friend called me the other day and said to come by his shop.........someone saw my old car and the decal in the side window....got a brand new 1966..."GEORGE WALLACE FOR PRESIDENT" decal.......am I being Blessed too much here?......in a later post I'll tell you about how this car came about being a Blessing...it'll take about 4 paragraphs...it concerns a local pastor and the old people in our community........

But it ain't got the history or patina Gary. And I don't have to worry about cleanin and polishing, just hit it with a hose and drive it to dry it.

I still want the first one badly. I like the second one too. You have a disease to be sure, I wouldn't have parted with the first one. :)

  21. I regret to this day selling my 34 five window... I could not find another that met my taste and finances!

I'm glad to hear that you've found a yourself "sweet deal" to replace the other car!

It'll pretty much be a copy to my best friends car with these differences....Salt Flat wheels, Bright Red or maybe Black interior and a small block 350/350 with Demon 3x2's................

Don, S your right about the patina and history but I'm just partial to black cars that sit right. Thats why I love my 63 BelAir.

20140816_111810_resized.jpg It's coming along....been fitting front splash pan, got the headers this past week, kit to make rumble into a trunk, torque converter, trans is on it's way..........I'm already thinking it'll take $5k more than what I thought I'd spend to finish it up and I haven't even got started....left rear wheel didn't center up like the right side, so I sent it out to EVOD Industries...their going to cut and move the center a tad for me.....stuffing 17x9.5 wheels under a '32 fender is a little harder than a fat fender car..it's those $100 here and $500 there things that kill you........'32's.......there a disease..............once you get one, you want another one....but my wants have to wait on my funds.......that may be why I enjoy them so much once I get one done........just thought I'd let my fellow Deuce Boys know where I'm at............tanner
