O.K., O.K., you all know how much I hate it here in Spokompton, but I figured since they have me on "anger medicine" I would try my hand at "being nice"!!! It's NEW to me (being a nice person) so bear with me. Any of you Spokane people want to get together for a breakfast, at a resturant, A lunch...??? A Beer?!?!? There seems to be a fair amount of us here... names that come to mind, Me (chopperimpala), wayfarer, jimsibley, chop509, allison, mr. gasser, etc. ANYONE??? ... if not , hell I was just trying to be nice, significant others AND kids would be more than welcome to be there (except the beer part for the kids) I am NOT a fan of -internet- "hook-ups" but what the F!!!! if you would rather PM me so be it, if no response...I'll let it die...Ken

Well for those that KNOW me, they will understand the positive "sarcasim/humor", guess you'll just have to learn for yourself!!!

  7. I'd be up for a little get together. Maybe we have enough locals for a shop tour? Mine's always open.

I'm in schedule permitting. I don't have a shop, just a house full of Paint Dogs and weird stuff. I was emailing Allison Earlier today about how we need some sort of Artists Pinstriper get together when the weather warms up....

I lived in Spokane area many years. Fridays were always packed with car guys at TOP HAT tavern on Division. Try the replacement in beautifull downtown Hillyard. Check with Chris Davis, Virgil Sellers, or most Dukes.

  12. Im in Colville, but get to Spokane once or twice a month, I think it would be fun.

I'd like to tag along too. Getting to meet some of you and a shop tour would be cool. I'm in and out of town but I'd sure try to make the date or dates you set. Sounds like fun.

O.K. I'll try to figure out a place, kinda hectic today, daughter had her baby last night, got together with the boys last night, and today, just hanging out with the wife and OUR baby.!! Was supposed to have a baby shower today, but well the baby is here early...go figure! I know that some of the Dukes boys go to breakfast every Saturday, at the CROSSROADS restaurant, maybe we can join up with them one Sat., or would you all rather this be a --HAMB-- "date"????...Ken

We just bought a ranch out there and will be re-locating this summer. We're in Seattle now so the biggest draw was the sun. Something that seems to avoid western Washington like good drivers.

Spokane has kind of a sixties California vibe. Big streets, a very cool revitalized downtown, tons of hot rods that actually get driven, at least three local race tracks that I've found, and for now, a laid back attitude.

Not to mention, lack of crowds and a no helmet state 10 minutes away.

We're looking forward to it. Good luck.

I love it here, except for this part of the year. It seems like winter drags on forever. Our summers are nice, but it's not as hot as the middle of the state. We have lots of outdoor recreation activities and there are tons of hot rods and events within a decent driving distance. Housing is still affordable, although it's been going up and there is hardly any traffic.

Damn, I forgot all about this, seeing as I am the one who started it?!?!?! Seems working 2 jobs and have a 1 year old gets pretty busy, HMMM looks like everyone is up for this so what is good for everyone? maybe some of you can throw out some suggestions, like times, mornings/ evenings, places etc. I am open to anything after 5pm Mon. - Thur. and ANY time from 5pm Thursday till 9pm Sun... I work 4 - Tens!! thats a 3 day weekend EVERY week, my second job is part-time so I can make my own hour,so just throw some suggestions out there and we'll get it going. P.S. to the guy asking about what we like/dislike... ME> like.... I have a house with a shop in back, > dislike...everything, I really dislike Spokane but can't afford to go back to San Diego just yet, mostly it is the snow & rain!! If you like 4 seasons you will be happy here, I just happen to like ONE HOT SEASON, ...just MY opinion though....Ken

Thank you all for the input, I'm gunna make a visit in about a month. I would like to get together with some of you guys when I get up there, good times. I do like the 4 seasons, winter gives me an excuse to be lazy, and i like to snowboard. Bend is allright, but my wife and I would like more to do. I can't sell my house till august, capital gains stuff, but untill then i will be making lots of trips.

    Thanx,
    Blake

Hahaha, yeah i know about the bad driving, got that here in oregon too. and I also heard about the meth problem. I lived in reno nevada for 15 years and i have been around alot of tweekers....HATE THEM.
But I'm still gunna come up for a look see, no place is perfect, just have to find a place that has the positives I want and the negitives I can deal with. Thanks for giving me some of the negitives too, helps me make a real judgement.
