Doug andd Becky, the fact that you recognized the fact that something was going on and got to the hospital really is a good thing. They deal with things like this every day and the sooner the patient is treated the better it is. It is very good that there was no heart attack as that generally means the heart will be dammagedNot good! If they can get in there in fix things with stents, that will be great. You will be good as new.

I had triple bypass two years ago, and before the surgery I didn't realize how the blockage affected me. If I hadn't gone to the doctor for a physical and he hadn't realized what was going on with my heart, I doubt that I'd be typing this right now! He sent me to the hospital and within a short period of time they were slicing and dicing. I feel GREAT now. I hope that so does Doug.

    Good luck.

Would like to add my prayers to those who have already responded. Do what the doctors say and get back on board soon.

I was sweating all day and had a sore arm but shit it was june (hot)and i get sore from working! It wasnt till about 8 hours later that I woke and asked my wife to take me to the emergency room.. Im damn lucky to be here today and im praying for doug.. I had 100% blockage on the main artery to the lower half of my heart.. They cleaned me out gave me a stint... 10. Becky/Doug: My very best wishes for a great outcome ... The wisest move you made was having the chest pain looked at immediately...NEVER,EVER ignore a chest pain...I dang near ignored a pain in my chest one night after eating dinner & if it hadn't of been for a close friend insisting on going to the ER ,I probably would have bought the farm...EKG showed no heart attack, but the cardiologist insisted on a heart cath..As he said"the dye don't lie"....showed 80% & 100% blockage on two arteries...Two stents the next day, coulpa days R&R and I was better than new..Still feel great....So ,again ,take care . Hope everything turns out OK...I'll be pulling for ya both

    God speed to him ,
as we get older we all go thur things ,but he will feel much better in a day or two,the heart cath ,is simple enough and over pretty quick and if their's a problem ,they can fix most everything ,right on the spot!
    GOOD LUCK!

  18. I had a heart attack in 2003 at 53 years old. Medical care was excellent and I'm healthier now than I have ever been. It changes your life for the better if you change your bad habits. The medications available now will also help. Just look at it as a wakeup call...L.B.
