my good friends from Kent's Big Bar ice cream sponsor a great cruise night in Fort Atkinson. Third Tuesday of the month at Jones Park. Usually very well attended, exceptional/inexpensive eats, cold drinks, delicious ice cream. And of course there are hotrods, lots of hotrods. In excess of 200 and sometimes 300.

Today it looked like rain all afternoon. I planned to bring three cars, including the Willys. Watching radar told me to go to plan B. I decided to finish up some projects, arrive late, and do so in my nice old driver...61 Impala.

It was raining fairly hard, wipers on steady. I arrived and who did I see...WINGNUTZ. That crazy dude was there in the Big Olds powered hotrod roadster...and well over and hour from home. He had an umbrella over the seat. Thankfully all the hot air flowing kept things from getting too soaked.

We had a nice visit, then he followed me to the shop for another hour of BS. I enjoyed showing him around and having such good company.

By the time we finished our visit, the rain was down to a sprinkle. I hope his trip home was uneventful and I look forward to his next visit.

Sorry I don't have pics, it was too wet for a camera and we both looked like drowned rats.

Thanks for being a dedicated hotrodder WINGNUTZ!!
