All work and no play..what did you get done this wknd

  1. OK...I'd be lyin if I said we didn't play around at all. On Sat the owner of the 32 Chevy that's been in my garage forever came over and helped me chop it. It took most of the day to get everything tacked back into place. It's got an angle chop and the windshield laid back. We put most of the agle between the a and b pillars. Now I've got lots of welding to do and some brcing to do. We took all of the wood out.

  2. Today Glasshole came over and we scuffed his car and put a fresh coat of paint on it. It's a flattened purple paint. The car is going to be in a wedding next week and needed a little freshening up. We didn't have time to fix any dents so flames may be put on soon to hide the imperfections.

Got my limefires and exhaust on then my buddy brought me over a 57 Harley to fix up and ride. I was going to buy the bike but didn't have the cash so he went and bought it and said there you go. He is definitly at the top of the best friend list. You help other people out but you never expect this.

yea mike cause i know right where you live. thats whole damn area*****s! i saw enough farms and feilds to last me a lifetime.

  15. KustomBuilder...you're gonna need a loan to fill that tank up. My 48 has a 30 gallon tank in it. It's great for long trips. I can make the trip from PA to Daytona on 2 tanks. Only have to stop once.

I got the motor for my father-inlaws car back together Saturday .I plan to put it backin this week. Lulabella stoped by to show of his new wheels and the fresh body work he did to his truck (big**** dent). Started to tear down my truck found the motor is not good I pulled the head and it is full of water.
Glasswhores car looks good but it needs pink flames.

Ha Ha Ha...I got my Vega Motor-to-"just about anyhting with framerails" mounts almost built!

(Cuz ya never know! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG])

DirtyT came and dragged me awy from finishing up the driver's side mount this morning for that "little trip" to the swap meet...

(See my "Happy Nips.." post for the full run-down on THAT adventure!)

Got to see a cool 62 Caddy Deathmobile-in-progress along with the world's most highly detailed******* 1.9 engine at a hang-out in Livonia or Redford (who knows WHERE we were by THEN!)...and I think I scored an S10 rear axle for the Hackmobile....

Yo, Mike...what's up with the pre-teen streetwalkers in Charlotte? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Oh yeah...I got Dirty in trouble with his girlfriend...talked him into buying a gauge cluster for his Super Secret...hey, waitaminnit...how ya gonna get a three speed behind THAT mill????

I built a wall 9 feet high and 17 feet long in my garage, then built shelves the full width and height. Maybe that will alleviate some of the clutter!

Walked out into the garage to see if my truck was still on the jack with the wasted front spindle still on. For some reason the junk front spindle has not removed itself from my truck yet. So I went back inside, ate too much and played with my children. Just came back from the garage and sure enough that damn spindle is still being lazy about taking itself off the straight axle...so I guess I will have to do it.

finally got most of my new frame built for my roadster and mocked up the front suspension....

I'm at that phase where it feels like you are working your**** off but it doesn't look like you are getting anything done but making a mess....

oh well....time to look under the sofa cushions for some loose change, I need to buy some rear suspension she-at!!!

I finally made room in the garage next to the 55. I took the A-frame I have and ground out the rivets and un-needed brackets. I worked on a 3-speed top loader I have and finally got it unstuck. The Yoke is still stuck on there and dont know how Im going to get it off. (any suggestions?)

Tore down the Merc. Flattie more and beadblasted bunch-o parts...

Lastly, went to the L.A. roadster show and got me a set of pedals and a radiator that im not going to use..(doh)

went out to my garage to check on my pile of Triumph parts. They must be made of the same lazy material as spindles, because they have yet to****emle themselves into a chopper. So I scooped em all up (They never put up a fight) and took them to Reading PA where Mathew's garage will help them get motivated.

That was Sunday afternoon. Sunday morning I hit a local show in West Chester PA.(home of Bam Margera's folks..) It was at a Helicopter museum and small airport. Got to see a Vincent Black Shaddow (1949) meet Triumph legend Eddie LaBelle .. while I was out in Reading I hit a local car show (300 cars) and saw a Roth collection that I couldn't believe. Look for that story in a future CKD.

Saturday I tuned the coupe and cruised alot. Took my son out street skating.
