Today Glasshole came over and we scuffed his car and put a fresh coat of paint on it. It's a flattened purple paint. The car is going to be in a wedding next week and needed a little freshening up. We didn't have time to fix any dents so flames may be put on soon to hide the imperfections.

Clark, was that done with the same materials you did your truck in? Thats what I had in mind for the 40, but with flames done in white outlines no color inside them. Glasshole that looks killer, really nice. I'm jealous [IMG]. later plmczy

  5. Saturday I installed AC in the garage. Now maybe paint won't come out of the gun like cotton candy. Seems it dries real fast at 95 degrees. Saturday afternoon I put up a swimming pool. Now maybe the kids will stop with the "I'm bored, there's nothing to do" for a while. Sunday I rebuilt the horns and headlights for the Hup.

  6. Well...me and Will (32flammedcoupe) drove 1500 miles in the Hotrods! The only work we did was pull the Mag in Kerms Anglia and replace it with a pertronics for the ride home. Clark, the Hot Rod Reunion was awesome...again. You might want to make room on your list for next year! You can certainly tag on with us.

  7. Clark, I love that coupe!

Took off what was left of the doghouse on the 49 F-1 parts truck, got ready to to pull the engine (forgot that I don't know how to get the******* out).

    So...
I went over to my geezer friends shop to ask how the transmission come out, and got involved in mold making for his fiberglass Model A stroller/swapmeet cart project.

Cleaned up the what was left of the postal van so it could be dragged away to the dump.

Re-arranged my piles of***** in the barn
Closed on loan for new house addition
I was dragged to Harry Potter movie
Took Dad out to dinner Sunday, then set up his new computer.
    Then I did homework.

Finally got some brake drums for my Olds.
Turns out Chev 1/2 ton were really close, just had to get my bro to make me a 1/8" spacer.
Got all the rear brakes installed, even the E brake works!
I've got to make some new shocks mounts for the front, those lever action shocks are*****!
So I had to lay the sheet metal on the nose to check for clearance.
It's been a couple years since the nose has been on the old girl, I forgot how sweet she looks!

  9. I drove the '65 I got from Rockey over to Ravin's and we took too old colums and made a good one. Fixed the turn signals and the brake lights and some other piddly*****.
Mrs Ravin fed me as always. Ya gotta love it.
Now the steering wheel doesn't wiggle up and down, I got turn signals and brake lights, a couple of tires and I'm ready for inspection. It was the first major trip for the truck, (Other than around the neighborhood) about 40 miles round trip.
Nuthin' like havein' friends to help out once in awhile.
OH yea and*****o brought me a spare gauge pod that he picked up at a garage sale.

Plmcrzy....Glasshole's car just has a basecoat on it. no flattened clear. It is gonna get stripped in about a year and a half, so it doesn't have to last long.

Picked up my 54 GMC. Rented a car dolly that made the trip more than interesting.

Hey how was the helicopter shindig? I was in Valley Forge, picking up my "new" truck and was planning on heading down to it. But the f'ed up dolly I rented prevented me from doing that.

Scratch- It was pretty damn cool. there were more cool bikes than cars though.. Helicopters have some interesting things going on, wonder what cars can take from them..?

got the wagon up on blocks to do some inspection and bolt tightening. My dirt track thrashing in Penn last month loosened up some bolts in the rear suspension. Noticed my Brake Master Cylinder skid plate is bent nicely from dragging it on the ground to much.. (hate when that happens).

Larry, make sure you make that a two story garage so you can put a lift in it. Glad to see you are making progress on it..

I haven’t got much done on the 51 lately due to problems with the daily pos 86 camaro.
I spent a week replacing senders relays and wiring to try to get the electric fan to work.
Then I finally decided its was time to retire the $800 wonder and get the shop truck I've been planning on.

Due to pure luck and some amazing financial wizardry on my part I pick up a freaking clean 73 GMC 1/2 ton pickemup.
This thing is in great shape! 350/350 and new ac converted to r-134a coolant.
New tires, new Batt., New hoses, runs and drives like a new truck.
Perfect for towing the roadster when needed and the 51 on short trips to the exhaust shop and such.
Just gotta get a hitch on her and I'm in business!

    pics are on the way.
    Good weekend!

  23. Sounds like a good score Krupa. Now you can bring that '51 to me so we can wrap up the loose ends we were working on.

Got my 425 stripped down and ready for machining. Trying to have the whole thing ready and tested for the HAMB Drags. Gonna drop it off tomorrow morning to have it tanked and cleaned up. Then I'll get to measuring...

Started making room around the front shock towers on the Merc for the new ShockWave units...
I guess AirRide Technologies never thought that someone would be putting these things on a Corvette suspension... [IMG]
