I have a question regarding the Alliance Membership. I'm looking to buy 4 new Coker WWW tires. Once I am an Alliance Member (which will cost me $50 correct?) what discount will I get on my set of Cokers? Also, important question...Do I have to buy directly from Coker? Reason I ask. If I order directly from Coker, shipping costs will be about $120. If I order the Cokers from Summit, there is free shipping. From Jegs...there is a $9.99 (total) handling charge.

If someone can answer these questions for me I'd surely appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Bob

the discount applies to tires purchased through the hamb. now if you are attending a show where coker has a display, you might be able to pick up your tires there and save on shipping.

you have to weigh your options to find out what's best for you.

is saving money on tires your sole reason for joining the alliance? many people join just to support the website and never buy a thing.

i thought i saved 10 percent which amounted to free shipping.

i don't know about now, but on the old forum, there were other benefits to joining the alliance besides the discounts.

i believe the limit on the amount of photos one could post at one time was higher if you were an alliance member.

also, pm storage and the amount of people you could send the same message to at a time were higher under the alliance.

and like now, you got special offers ahead of the regular slobs, something worthwhile on limited merchandise like shift knobs, key fobs and tag toppers.

i haven't re-upped since the change because i'm still hating the new format.

I just copied and pasted this so I'm not sure if the links will work, just call Coker and see what your discount will be and make a decision from there.

Ive been an alliance member from the get go. Most years Ive easily made the money back. This year Im over double my money back.

Not signing up because you don't like the new board seems odd, Ryan isn't going back to the old board. I get 50 bucks of info easily every year even if I never use my alliance discounts. Plus I sign up for my yearly subscription to Rodders Journal when I renew my alliance and get a discount on that.

One of the first big companies with enough vision and foresight to join the Alliance was Coker Tires. A big thanks goes out to Corky and the boys for their support of not only The Jalopy Journal, but traditional hot rodding as a whole. Their discount varies product-by-product, but most guys will make their Alliance membership dues back by simply purchasing a set of tires. Very aggressive discounts! To get your discount online, simply grab your discount code here (must be a logged in Alliance member to view link) or call Coker up on the phone.

So you have no interest in supporting the site unless you get a deal on your tires? Then come in and want someone to do all your leg work? Wow....

edit...sorry, someone pee'd in my cheerios that morning.....ha

Sorry. Missed this... Yes, you have to order direct from Coker. Typically, on a set of tires you will save between $90 and $150.
