I like that a lot. I wish the pic was bigger.

Do I spot a roof rack in there?

Lil red wagon on a rainy Washington day. These are the best way to convince the boss that your vintage ride is a valid and sensible purchase. 1964 Valiant V100. I love this car!

A neighbor had a red version of the same car..with the woodgrain on the sides and tailgate. It outlasted much of the metal, living outside, at the beach...!

OK.... Heres mine. 57 Chevy 210 2 door wagon. Its a daily driver. Has the original 283 with a three speed on the column. I have a fresh 350 and 4 speed waiting, but I can't resign myself to pulling the 283... It just runs to good!

I need to ditch the Torque Thrusts. Im looking for some 15x8 steel wheels for the back and some skinny Cragars for the front. May also go with steelies all around with full Moon disks.

Here's my '63 Studebaker Wagonaire. It is in the process of being converted from the lowest model 63 to a 64 Daytona (63's have front clips that look more like Mercedes Benzes). It has a Stude straight OHV six with split exhaust and a (temporary) Stromberg 97 carb. It also as a HEI distributor with MSD coil and controller box. It still needs some floor and body work. Studebakers and rust? Yeah, even in California - especially with a leaky sliding roof. FYI - I have the mini spares in the rear to make it easier to take the tires on and off while I work on the rear airbags. Those wheel cutouts are mighty tight with the car lowered and with wider wheels.

Ah! Those wheels! MY EYES!! They burn!!
Seriously, that is a really cool original car and it would look great with steel wheels and original hubcaps (either full covers or poverty caps). Or chrome steelies. Hell, even moon covers over those '80s aluminum jobbies you got there.

Did you put the air ride on that 60 Poncho? I've been considering that for my '58..

Nah, the cat that owned it before me did. All I can tell you is that this car is a factory trailing arm car, so it basically just replaced coils. I'm not sure what suspension you would have had on a 58, but if its trailing arms, its pretty simple. As far as ride quality, its pretty smooth with the bags aired up, but if you drop it down, to cruise low, its a little bouncy! if i was going to keep it, i would probably get a larger tank, or maybe two tanks (one front one rear), because it sure takes a minute to lift that big ol' thing up! overall, i would do it to it, if it wasn't done already.

Digging the 62...has it been lowered or is that factory height?

It has 2 1/2" blocks in the back, with modified coils up front.

A glass sliding rood would be great, but there's too much mechanical stuff going on in that roof panel! I am thinking about adding a brushed stainless steel sheet to the panel though...
