ill put up pictures later, but i found an allstate head yesterday at hershey for the right price...i only got the one. if anyone on here has its brother, let me know!
Ummm, you'll probably hate me, but - an Allstate was a four cylinder car. Ergo, if you have one head, "collect them all" has little more meaning for you. Cosmo
wonder who the real manufacturer was..as Sears..as you know sold almost everything..mopeds/cars/and early on even houses..
thats what i have, a 24 stud FORD FLATHEAD HEAD. Willy, you dont happen to have that one or want to part with it do ya? haha and just as a point of interest, i dont know why any time you post on the hamb about ANYTHING, theres guys that have to tell you what you want, what you saw, (or what you have, holding in your own damn hands when theyve never seen it!)
I think for the most part people are just trying to be helpful. When you type a thought it's hard to get the inflection of where a person is coming from like you can when talking to them, sarcasm, tone of voice etc. But there is always the ass out there also.
I wish! but Im looking for a set of 21 stud heads, eventually.. Good get though! Somebody will want/need one
The Sears Allstate cylinder head was merely a re-labled Hotten&Sullivan casting. Andy Hotten made a deal with Sears-Roebuck to sell them this Ford head without the knowledge of the designer and developer, Don Sullivan. He basically screwed his business partner,(The brains of the operation). Don Sullivan told me this personally in one of our lunch meetings back in the Seventies.
I just checked my 1960 Sears catalog. The picture of the heads are not detailed but check the price!!
Will wonders never cease? Never thought they would've sold those. As been said thousands of times, the HAMB RULES.
