I always glue the end rail gaskets in place with 3M weather striping cement.

that won't work...pull the intake and do it over again, 1/4" bead

When I do the intake gasket I apply sealant on the end rail gaskets and around the ports etc of the intake gaskets on just one side of the gasket. I then set the intake on and start several bolts and hand tighten then let it set overnight, pull the intake the next day and check alignment of endrail gaskets etc and then apply sealant and set the intake proper. No leaks and endrail gaskets won't squirt out.

I gave up on the end rail gaskets years ago....a 1/4" bead of RTV works but you have to be careful setting the intake down on it. I don't let it set up first, some guys do.

  8. This.... Once you get past the thought of no gasket, intake installs go much better...

I'll confess, I read the instructions on a FelPro intake gasket set. I figure, its their gasket best I do as they say.

  11. ^^^^^ Yes, and make sure that it is clean before you squirt the silicone on.

Nice truck, once a gasket is crushed, it's crushed. I would get a new set of gaskets myself.
