Very cool! I love different motors. That's why my son's sticking with the flat head 8 in his Pontiac.

The block is a 53 Desoto bored .040 with a chrome crank. A mid range "street" cam and a Chrysler "spitfire" head milled .070. A vintage Edmunds dual intake sports Rochester carbs.....more at www.msnusers.com/streetroadster bigticket:cool:

Keep us posted. I love those odd ball engines.

    V8's are just a passing fad anyway. :) :D :) :D

  9. How hard is it to find speed parts for those mills? My friend has a '51 he's restoring stock-I gotta talk him into making a rod or kustom out of it:D

the stuff is not easy to find although.offenhauser still makes a dual intake for the smaller (ply/dodge) block. Go to the P15-D24 forum and ask around...lots of guys there to help....bigticket:cool:

I know "cute" is not a proper term for a hot rod, but that's what that is...

Sweet! I'm getting there too. Still hope to have her on the road by August. I just got this manifold custom made from MOOSE. 49 Chrysler Spitfire, carter carbs.
