almost there!!!!

almost there and learning alot.I have a 283 with a 400 trans i bought off my father inlaw for 250$. Both had been rebuilt but never used.My question is with the 400 trans can i still use the stock drive shaft just have it adapted to fit the 400 trans with the stock rear end ? Or is the drive shaft not strong enough.This is all i need to be back on the road and im on a budget.how much should i pay to have this done?

 

That would depend on what car it is going into. If it is the'50 or so Merc or Lincoln in your avitar, it will work out ok. If you need to have a driveshaft built, I know that around Phoenix you are looking at about 200.00. Good luck, Chip Quinn
