What a show What I show! Im already looking forward to next year. its gonna be pretty hard to beat the Top Chop. Maybe they'll drive a stock front end car in and split the wishbone..........

 

Thanks to all the Alter Boys. Had a great time, and it was nice to see all the traditional rods, customs and race cars. Saw a lot of old friends and nice to see all the “new generation” of Hot Rodders and their rides. All great stuff. Nice to know that when all us gray-haired guys are gone, these young men( and women) will carry on the tradition.
Here are a few pics I took yesterday.

 

This car was perfect. In talking to the owner yesterday,it is an original fuelie car, 1 top optionscar(no soft top) power window, fuelie car that was bought by the original owner to be his drag car. Raced from 62 to 67 than put away for many years. Sold to the second owner many years later, and the gentleman who owns it now (for the past 4-5 yrs) is the third owner.
The front end still has the old "I-beam " trick that the original owner installed when new to get the front up for weight transfer. Perfect car to give any NCRS member a stroke !

Hey I'm an NCRS guy(not a fanatic)...no stroke here on that black 62 fuelie. Just a woody !!! I don't have the balls to do that to my 57.

What an awesome group of cars! Does this show have strict entrance rules? Because the quality and quantity of traditional hot rods is crazy.

D-RODS coupe is VERY cool! I had a chance to give a her a look and it's a super sweet ride.

Thanks for the compliment guys. D ROD's coupe is still in California but I did have him riding shotgun when we pulled in. Here's him and Pryor trying to act innocent ! ( Notice the grins on their faces)
