Its all good Donny,trust me,we went to ralphs last year,the best,the Alter Boys put on a great show,and nothing but real hotrods,lol,and mine that snuck in.
Don't forget Jim, he's the same guy that said they " Don't need no stinkin band"...if we have to explain, he wouldn't understand. haha By the way, you're lucky they've got a bar there cause my trunk is closed to you this year!
The guy I was talking to did'nt like the gate rules. He is in his 70,s was around with rods in the 50's. did'nt like kids telling him how it was in the 50's
I wonder which rule the guy didn't like?? Rule #1 Pre-1960 Nostalgia-style hot rods and customs only! (No billet street rods or muscle cars.) Or Rule #2 See Rule #1
The only cars we direct to the "other" lot are the real cheezy rides. Iv seen real cool 32 3 windows done in a 50's style with 1985 dodge datona interior, digital dash....sorry dude,,,your going to the "other" lot. We print the rules clearly and always make judgement calls at the gate. Last year a bunch of cars that wouldnt normally get into the main lot got in. This year we have more space and less confusion, Ralphs had the two entrances which made it difficult to keep track. The new place has one entrance with plenty of parking. Pete-
you can't make everyone happy. and one man's opinion is just that. these guys work hard and have always put on a good show. and just cuz a guy was around in the 50s doesnt mean the car he is driving now fits that bill. in any case, go to have a good time and you will have a good time.
Its not a only streetrod show,theres plenty of real old school hotrods at york,thats the main reason I go,so dont you start on me.
I didn't see where it said" No street Rods". just bring your car Dude & don't worry about it, Pete, Jared & Flash are easy!! just slip em a few bucks & they'll let ya in!! ($25 + the entrance fee) usually does it)( I want $10 out of it-- commish!!!lol). No all kidding aside only time i saw them turn anyone away was because of space or they had a muscle car.Mines plastic & they let me in if theres room, if not i park in the cheap seats, i'm there to party, i can walk around & see the cars( besides i know what my car looks like). jimV
this is still just A car show. we love the older stuff and always did. So for us they come first. all newer style stuff comes 2nd. The road agents 2nd lot was just as much FUN as the main lot and so is ours. So come and enjoy

why is it such a surprise that the criteria for this show are what they are? i mean, here we are on the hamb, and people are surprised that we don't get excited about billet...i dont get it.
I have another post in regard to vendor spots available at the show. We have lots of space for additional spots so if you and your buddies want to go in on a spot together thats also cool. I ran a thresd on hot rods & street rods, and most people agree with you . I owe you an apology for thinking street rods were hot rods.
