Jim, he said " Thanks to everyone that bought somethin' & screw the rest of ya!"...you didn't buy anything, in fact he had to work with you for absolutely nuthin....so I think that still makes you part of the "screw the rest of ya"!:D

Thank you...We really enjoy running the car and all the people we get to meet at the track. Winterport Dragway in Maine started a class for the old style dragsters and altereds last year on a 7.50 index for 1/8 mile. New England Draway started running them this year in their nostalgia series. The old style dragsters like Chassis Research K88, TE440, and three point cages will tech for 1/8 mile only. It is a fun class that almost anybody can afford to get into. Brad Studley's shop in Hopedale, MA. is selling a basic frame starting at $1100. All the cars have to run a clutch and your choice of transmission. Most cars are running two speeds 2nd and high, but the heavier altereds would want to run 3 or 4 speed trans. With a mild motor they are leaving the line with two foot wheelies and reaching speeds a little over a hundred at the 1/8 mile finish. It provides great competition in an open wheeled car for very little money.

  8. I'm still a bit curious as to why there were two guys walking around in aprons covered in blood......and their dueling banjo accompaniment.

i gotta say, it was just about the best event i've been to. might be that hanging out late for a couple white russians helped that along a little.

as a vendor, i have no complaints. really pleased with my results. i thought the layout was much better.

pete- your car looks ballsy with the new lettering.

speaking of balls...i have no idea what they were thinking with the 'hit my balls' game. actually, i think it was more of a 'hey, hit HIS balls' game. still, i am glad i wasn't a part of it. i don't really feel like i missed out on anything because of it...hahaha

greco, always good to see you my friend. wish i could have stayed later, but i am thinking you all did plenty of damage without me...

Thanks again to all who showed up and extra Thanks to everyone that stayed late. In my opinion the car show doesn't really get going till after dark because thats when we can finally start hanging. However between Adam turning the parking lot onto a Super Fund site and a fifteen inning game of "Oww My Balls" I have a feeling we may not be welcome at the Hampton Inn next year... so I would plan on not mentioning the Alter Boys to the receptionist when you book your rooms.

It was quite a night! Me and Eli destroyed the breakfast buffet! Then I destroyed the 6th floor bathroom...good times, good times!

And man there were some mighty fine lookin' babes there this year.

Im always looking for feedback on the show and layout options....so speak up or PM me with constructive criticism.

Good show maybee a little slack on year requirments and Billet. Radials should be acceptable as half the cars there wore them and for good reason. Bias tires are Kooler for sure though,. Plus think of all the 12 volt stuff, I dont care for it but it seems to be acceptable? Any how great show. Not to many shows with that much pure old school traditional stuff. So many flatheads, nailheads and inliners. Awesome.

    Jimmy,

You always got my back! That-a-boy!

Radials are not traditional. There are shows tailored for all types of rodders, ours however is for the die-hard trad guys..........but there are some cars that look fine with the correct radials.

Yes a few cars did get in that were questionable and that's because we tried a new layout this year.

We have two main lots and one overflow, the trad stuff hopefully makes it in the two mains and the not so trad stuff goes in the third.

There's a big difference between a shit box / rat-rod-a-rific with radials..... than a well built hot rod with radials!

Every year at the gate we get "THAT" one guy!!! Who complains,,,,DUDE, read the flyer. Then we let him (them) in and park them in the upper lot, which is very close to the main lot and they still complain!.

Again, this year we tried a new layout and we relaxed a bit......
