Good luck finding it, I don't think the Amvets even have a sign on the road. But you should be all right if you follow the lost rod in front of you....
why are you so amped up about this being hard to find? it's right off speen st at rt9. the boston scientific building is big enough to swallow the universe. if you have eyes that work, you can find it.
HAHAHA...I meant the other Pete (1929rats), Pete. I'd sure as hell hope you'd be there, Pete! So are going to make it, Pete????
I guess you have never tried to find Speen Street Natick during the week coming from the North (not Route 9) ... hopefully it's better on a Saturday. I love the meet, just don't like Speen Street Natick...
i work right near there, so i guess i have a familiarity that some don't. so to me it doesnt seem like a big deal. according to research i did, the address is: 55 prime park way, natick ma 01760 google map that, and you'll be able to see right where to go.
Like I said before....there will be signs in more than one area, e hope to get them on Rt 9 and maybe a few on Rt 30. The entrance will be quite noticeable with the doors painted with the GIANT arrow pointing to the show..... Ill tell ya what, ill get naked and hold balloons in the middle of the road...lol See everybody there. Pete-
Been waitin' for this one...... weather should be just fine..... And I ain't worried one bit about finding Speen St. Howard
Rick, I plan on wearing something ***y just for you. Pete- If anybody has a problem finding it call me 1-617-799-0667
Pete: Just make sure you don't have any runs in your stockings like last year. You know how I hate that Goth/grunge look!
Looks like I will have to miss it... My front tires aren't that great and I don't know how they'd hold up on the ride to Natick. It's an hour and a half. If anyone has some spare runners I might make it... Any Dover/Portsmouth, NH area HAMBers out there with a set of wheels, '40 Ford Hub pattern? I thought of, dare i say hunting down a trailer and then driving in the gate safely. I'm on the hunt locally for some rubber. Funds are tight too. Was thinking maybe sell some sketches of cars that are there to pay for the trip. I'm picky about the car and didn't get everything done that I wanted to, but I hate to have to miss it on account of a worn tire. Weather looks good too. Guess I'll see you guys next year Jonny
Sorry fellas I will be missing it this year... spent all my money on midwest car shows and hotels this year ... can't swing a plane ticket back home - which ****s because I am VERY homesick at the moment. I think the new location sounds great - best of luck to you. Have fun and catch ya next time.
Nope - I have to work that weekend, and then the following weekend I am headed back east for my cousin's wedding up in Maine. I have to manage my vacation budget a little better next year... although I wouldn't have wanted to miss any of the shows I did go to this year. But I did take an extra week in VA for a wedding and next year I can just go to the Drags and back without taking a 9 day vacation. I suppose if I hadn't done those things I could be spending a fantastic fall weekend in NE right now.
John, Get your car to the show!!! There's plenty of maine and hew hampshire hot rodders who can loan you a tire. Pete-
dumb***! hahaha. next time, then. i can't stop thinking about jumping in to the '54 and driving straight to morris. but alas, i burned all my vacation time on a funeral...
I'm in! My car might be to "stock" for their stiff criteria though. I've got a gang of hoodlums to spread across the leather seats so we need a big car this time. I hope they'll let the old Lincoln in. I promise I wont let it drip too much oil near the lake.
All is well. I found a set of bias plies with a lot of tread. They have a few flat spots, but I think they'll be ok once warmed up a bit. Blackwalls all-around, so it looks a little tougher. Switched the rims out for 15s. Should be ok on the highway; traveling with half a dozen other cars. It's 8:45 now and I have a lot of work to do yet. Taillights stopped working last night, brakes and directionals ok... off to fix. See you all tomorrow. Thanks Myke, I appreciate the offer Jonny
