I visited Bill Blair in NC when he owned that car as pictured with the taped up door. This was back maybe 7-8 years ago. He had that car and the Beswick cheeser and other rare Pontiacs. He had since sold the Johnson car in as pictured state. The Johnson car originally was the Harold Ramsey cheeser out of Wilmington, DE. I have not seen the B&W shot before though. Looks like it was shot on Bill Blair's property. Joel
I'm looking for information on a few of Mopars for the current owner ... The Twighlight Zone silver '65 A990 car and the "Original Gambling Man" AWB car, which I believe was originally a '63 Dodge out of Mr. Norm's dealership called "Pulsation". Another is the "White Tornado" '64 Plymouth, Jim Neely and John Buehl. This car may be the Twighlight Zone car with a '65 nose. I ran across the cars while vacationing in Idaho just recently. I sat in that car in the late 70's in a old machine shed. Alan Ranz on Forreston, Il owned it before he sold it to Bill Blair. At one time it had a clear Plexiglass hood scoop.
Hmmmm...Goodies. I used to go to Goodies. And Champion Speed Shop. And Gotelli's Speed Shop. And... Thanks for the memories. As for not knowing the photog on the 1st JJ pic...maybe Charlie Eshenbough...since his name's at the bottom?
Ok everyone, as starter of this thread, I like the way things are going along. As long as we keep up the constant stream of AWB creations!
Here's some pictures of my dad's 65 comet altered wheelbase project. We will be getting back to working on it this summer.
Not an altered wheelbase car at this point but ... I'm looking for any information on a '63 Dodge called "PULSATION" and the fellows in the attached photo. I believe the car was run out of Mr. Norm's dealership or at least had nominal sponsorship from Mr. Norm. Joel
I'm not sure but I think Bob Harrop may have driven the TMP car at times. I know he drove the '66 TMP in the beginning. I've often wondered if the '64 TMP car was the ex-Harrop '64 S/S car. Joel
