We have a big 4 day hotrod show after the bike rally it's called Kool Deadwood Nights, I'll find out the date for 2021 and post a thread and let everyone on here know. We get close to a 1000 cars. Good time to come can still curse the hills and there is music, gambling, classes, poker runs.
F——n’ NAILED it^^^^ All you boys looking to build an awb car, take notes from this guy and Steve magneto.
If the camera angle was a Skosh wider you would see a young me standing behind the fence just to the right absorbing everything happening right in front of me while Brian was sweeping the gold dust out on the track at George rays and 20 years later I was at the same track with Brian running my own afx car. A person never knows who they are influencing all I can say is thanks Brian for opening up a whole new world to a young mind Chrome don’t get ya home
Wrenchbender, your car has been inspiration for mine. I've had the car over 17 years with the intent from the beginning to build into a mid '60s match race car. Saw some pictures of yours and decided that if it was going to happen I'd better get my ass in gear and do it. It seemed that seeing as how I turn 75 this year it was time to get started.
Thanks for the kind words it’s not perfect by any means and from my understanding none of them were when they were running I wasn’t there back then but I had lots of help building it not to mention lots of pictures of the real poison Ivey dodge thanks to Terry Ivey’s family get busy on your car so we can line em up at the track Chrome don’t get ya home
Wrenchbender, I try and do something every day. Sooner or later I'll run out of stuff to do. I'm not building quite as wild as yours as I'm planning on keeping it streetable, but I'm not proud, I'll stage next to anyone. Lost some of the best races I've been in.
