im looking to convert my 54 chev car to a 12 volt system . has anyone used a cs 130d delco alternater off a late model chevy v6 engine . i would obviously have to mount a v pully on it . and im not sure about making up some mounting brackets although i cant see it would b too difficult . its going on a stock 235 for now and later on it will be swapped over to a 292 inline 6 . i have one on my shelf and they put out over 100 amps from what ive been told . im not sure if the v pully off a regular 10si alternater will fit on the cs 130d.

You will need a pulley to match the one on the generator so your belt will work correct.

I used a stock bracket, a length of all-thread, 5 or so nuts, lock washers, flat washers. In over 1oo k miles I replaced the alternator once (daily driver ONLY vehicle). Alan Grove sells a sweet looking alternator bracket for a 235.

Same as Cosmo 49 without the allthread. Be sure of your pulley width and diameter when you go looking for the replacement. I used a 105 amp GM unit, works fine.
