  2. I had always thought a Cadillac Northstar in a Honda CRX would just be too friggin' cool .. Should be do-able too ...

  3. Makin' fuel out of food is crazy! With corn it costs more to make it than it produces. Like 29% less gas mileage with E85. As I see it the Arabs can't eat sand or oil. Where do their food come from? I'd bet most of it comes from the USA and Canada. I won't, but wish, I'd see the day they'd have to try to eat that damn oil and sand!

  4. Have him make a nuclear powered car. Could run it for 10 years on a fuel rod the size of a cigarette ...

There's a guy at work that turned his 64 Covair rampside truck into an electric car (no gas what so ever). It cost him about $10k (just for the hardware). Its cool but it only goes about 50 miles before you have to plug it in and charge it up (takes 8 hours to charge). The whole truck bed is full of batteries.

i wasent really paying attention but i saw the thread and i had to put my two cents in. at work we have built a hydrogen powered car its a scion xb. its still in its trial period but the results are good. i all goes well i am going to running it in all my cars including the 50 ford shoebox w/ a six banger. i wish more people would check this technology out its free energy the government docent want you to know about............ you guys talk about 10k for the electric car kit this shit only costs about 200.00 bucks. look it up on you tube "water powered car" as a key word.

  7. If you want good economy, why not just use a diesel? Most hybrids don't get better mileage than a good diesel anyhow, and they're way less complicated. Some of the new diesels don't even sound like the traditional diesel.

I'm the cousin that he spoke of. I require a pick up for what I do, I can't move to a prius or a honda (plus I'm 6'5", I just don't fit)... Stanley Meyer's cell was one of the safest every created, and in carborated motors, it's been proven to help the most, with fuel injected it requires some extra work. I'm not an agressive driver, and the only time my truck ever jumps over 20 MPG is when I'm running the hydrogen, so yes, it does help... I'm not trying to run the vehicle on the hydroxy alone, but as a supplement to the gasoline.

I'm not saying that it's a scientific breakthrough, it's not free energy, according to science it takes more joules of energy to create than the explosive reaction gives out... however, because the input energy is electricty, (cheap and easy) to a contained explosive force (not cheap and easy), it's a cheap supplement to gasoline, not a replacement.

The Volks Rod came out a LONG time ago... Buterra? Or someone like that? I DO recall reading articles in main stream rod mags over the years about electric deuce roadsters and the like being built by as high school shop class projects. They are out there.

I very much like the looks of the black flamed pickup and would consider something like it for a rod project except the motor takes up the whole bed. I want to build a fenderless pickup, but the bed HAS to be functional. Also, there are kit car guys that make frames / rear clips for old Porsche replicars that use the Subaru motor instead of the Porsche. Much cheaper. A readily available adapter plate hooks the Subaru to a VW Vanagon transaxle. Only down side is that is swing axle not fully IRS. But a bone stock 210hp Subaru mill in a light car would be fun and economical. The turbo WRX Subaru motor is around 280 hp, and would be lot more fun but probably shred the van transaxle. Probably sub 4 second 0-60, while it lasted. But it would be long gone while the SBC in a deuce is still smoking the tires on the line. The Vanagaon / Subaru deal is also popular in off roading and other niche auto hobby segments.
