1952-59 Ford Alternator brackets

    I bought one of those aluminum adjustable alternator brackets and am wondering how they work...it didnt come with instructions so Im wondering if anyone else is useing one of these on there 302 that could post a pic so i can see how you guys have done this. thanks for any help

    Got'em thanks, For some reason Brackets always give me trouble...I never was any good at Lego blocks either!

    I can put them on the boards pics but I am never able to post pics it just doesnt work for me so if someone else wants to post them they will be in my pics under "55 mainline"

    Well after about two hours and trying every configuration in the book I am about to give up trying to get this alternator to fit...I think Im going to have to find a different alternator or something this one just dont fit Ive tried different spacers,bolts,washers,brackets even the original bracket and it just aint working. aggravated and venting.LoL

    i had to take a file to my brakets. and cut off one bolt and use an original bolt i think. they dont fit perfect out of the pakage for me. i got mine off ebay from whites performance i think it was.

    I worked on it some more and have it on there but I dont think it will work the way it is...I think it will get loose after a while. I wish I had the tools to fabricate brackets it would make it alot easier for sure.
