Okay, so I recently picked up a 57 Ranchero.

The generator on it has been replaced with an alternator,
But the alternator IS NOT one of the "one wire"
    types I'm familiar with.

So the deal is the car came with a CASSETTE player,
    And a few, smaller speakers.
Instead of hooking up alll the little speakers,
I got ONE nice 6x9 and put that in the stock location.

    The problem?
    Whenever I play my radio,
It seems to KILL the battery.
If I DON'T play the radio,
    There's NO problem.

Does anyone have any idea's WHY this is happening?

    I dig the sounds of a Y-block V-8,
    But tunes are nice too!
    Thanks!
