Anyone out there have a 40 Olds with a aluminum radiator they have installed? If so, what brand, and number did you use. Thanks
Champion has one. I've used their radiators with no problems. Edit: Well...I misread their listing and it looks like they don't have one
Check with Wizard Cooling 716-216-0637. They list one for a 1940 Buick, and a 1939 Olds., as well as custom fabrication.
You are welcome. 40 Buick also a hard find, and I think share similar dimensions with Olds. I need a radiator that will keep a nailhead cool, and of all the radiator companies I contacted, Wizard and US Radiator seemed the most helpful. I have not purchased one yet.
Your car looks like it might be the small body like a '40 Chevy. If that is the case maybe a Chevy would work. Mine is just under 17" wide at the ti\op of the core.
I looked into the 40 Chevy angle for my Buick, as more companies list them. The Chevy chassis differs from BOP, and the radiator differs also. One other company is Griffin, who will make one to your exact specifications. Cost more, but you get exactly what you want.
Check with Bryce Thomas. They bought Walker when they closed, they should have something that fits or will custom make what you need.
