I'm new to the world of aluminum rads and need to have one modified for my build. Before calling around and sounding like I don't know anything about this (which I don't) I'd like to know if most shops work on them nowadays.
    Thanks!

  2. Nope.
First off you want to find one that is brazed or welded and not epoxied and next you will need to find a shop with a heliarc.

Most rad shops consider aluminum radiators to be throw aways. best you can do is call tell them what you need and ask if they can do that for you.

Where are you in NC? Here in the Charlotte-Concord-Mooresville area we've got multiple places that build and service aluminum radiators because of the plethora of racing teams . If you just need to move an inlet/outlet, any competent fab shop should be able to handle it. Got a local short track? Ask a racer or find the local speed equipment supplier - they'll know where to send you.
