I am putting my Henry back together and need a water pump. Is there any reason not to go with an aluminum water pump. I have found them around $60 or so. Any leaking issues or excessive wear problems???

Had an aluminum pump on my motor (SBC) that I bought on Egay, one water p***age leaked into the bolt tunnel and after aprox. 500 miles the bearing seal started to leak. I just replaced it with a Stewart Components cast iron pump. No more Egay stuff for me, I think it was a second.

No reason at all- as long as you get yours from a reputable source.

Summit and Jeg's are two good compromises between low price and positive reputation.
