You always were a star only now you've got a proper chariot to take you to the ball. Good job on the reconditioning, it's a 110% improvement. I'm hoping to see and hear it sometime this summer so be sure to have it with you everywhere you go, deal?

You were already a Rockstar in our book! But the car is totally killer now.

I would like an autograph as well.... haha... I'm pretty sure you should bring THAT to the showdown rather than the other car I hear you're driving! haha I don't think ya know me yet but i'll be seeing ya at Zach's next friday... if you brought your '53 then it could meet my '54... but maybe it's best as I know your sporty little '53 would blow the wide whites off my '54!

good job on the build up... looks like a dream! va bene!

Who wants to be another rockstar with a unique motor like that...?

Did you not put in a fresh head gasket and cleaned the chambers, when the old block was repainted...?!
I really miss pictures with the rare Rajo head off...
I wonder if the head just had extra intake ports or if there were other changes as well.

Thanks so much for all the kind words. Without the HAMB and all the good people that make it up I never would have had the notion to do this car up 'right'!:D

    Now, for some answers...

The Rajo head and intake were on the car when I purchased it last fall. The guy I bought the car from purchased the parts from eastern PA in the early 70s. The head and intake were created by Racing Joe (Rajo) in Racine, WI in the very early 1950s.

Coming from you it is official! I'll send a PM to ya soon. I would be honored to wear the Rockstar patch!

Yes, I plan to drive it to the Cinematic. Not sure on Indy yet.

It is stock height in the front. I am leaving it that way for now. I really was going after the taildragger look. Maybe some day I'll slam it all the way around.

There is always a seat for you in my car;):D

Hmmm...a chop....there's been talk of that swirling in the shop....:eek::D

    Some more answers...

Thanks Thelma. The HOOD will be OFF for a long time. I am really proud of that engine compartment, too proud to cover it up!:p

The etched glass has grown on me a little too. I think I can pull it off since I'm a girl. I may change it sometime down the road though.

Old school steel glasspacks noisy side OUT!:rolleyes::D

Awww, Skot, don't be hurt! It's not that I hate orange but Chevy orange on that Six just wasn't appropriate! It was too 70s or something for that Six...

    Cool, thanks for the info!

I would LOVE to surprise her and take her for a ride this summer. We will have to work on that. Please be sure to show her this thread and tell her I said hello! :D (well, not this part of the thread :D)

You have no idea what that means to me. I think that may be the best compliment I've gotten on this car:eek::rolleyes:. Thanks...:D

I would love to bring it out there and take you for a ride to! I'll have to work on that...

No, I'm bringing that old run down roadster :D

Congrats on the press! I look forward to seeing it, keep me posted.

It is much quieter at idle than it used to be. I think it is really quiet actually. It gets louder obviously the more load that it is under. I LOVE hearing it as I go down the highway!:p:D

I've been thinking about a deep red for my engine. I may have to steal that little aesthetic detail. Candy apple on an engine....
Everything you did to that car was right-on. If you ever want a job at a hot rod shop in NC, let me know. If I were about 25 years younger, I'd just go ahead and propose right now! :D I'm not rich, so that makes me just another ugly, old guy. I got nothin'..... ;)
Kudos on your work and on your eye for detail.

I love 70's street rods also but those wheels did nothing for the car. I'd leave the glass also, just because but I dunno about the mural.

    Looks super.
