  3. You need three things to make life easy on you and keep the coupe...

    1) two way radios

    2) wife drives 5w coupe

    3) you drive roadster and yer kid or kids flop back and forth between cars and folks....

    easy eh,

I'm with Deuce Roadster,(Randy)---I see you already have a 32 hiboy in the rear in pix,---So keep the neat 5 window, install a rumble seat, take the whole family for a cruise, they will love it!!! 5 window & roadster parts all interchange (fenders, rumble lid, etc. Back in 1962, when I started building my roadster, I went thru the same delema---Drag strip OR family entertainment---Glad I chose FAMILY!!--We used to load everybody up & head out for local car runs & general sightseeing adventures after the roadster was finished in 1968. My son rode in the rumble seat to Tulsa NSRA Nats in 1973, all the way to & back to L.A. when he was 15,---He's now 50!!!& remembers what a fun time we all had!!----After hi school, I helped him build his own roadster--a 29 hiboy with rumble seat, where he later put his own kids in & they all went cruising too!!---- Now, those "little squirts" are in their 20's!!--------------
    Guess it catches on!!!!-----------Don

I have a 5w coupe and when the kids did go with, they sat in the Rumble. It's ok for short trips to get icecream but don't plan on bring anything extra. After a few time in the back nobody really want to sit back there and not that easy to get in as well. I would vote for a Tudor,Pheaton or MoreDoor a heck might as well say a B-400:D or Vicky..
Good luck and hope you get the moredoor posted, looks like a killer deal. If that doesnt work out I still have the Phaeton for Ya:D

  9. My two cents,

Where are you going to put luggage for four people in a fordor?

After you get everyone in the car there isn't that much room. No trunk, and most of the interior is taking up by seating. That leaves you with two options a luggage rack of the back of the car or pulling a small trailer behind the car. Keep the five window and put in a rumble seat, and build it as a driver friendly car.

Here the best looking 32 fordor in my opinion. It was built by Mike Smith of California Hot Rods, (209) 694-0149, to haul him, his wife, and their two boys around. If you have questions about hauling a family around in a fordor, Mike is the person to ask.

I have been considering the exact same thing as you but I haven't found anyone with a 32 4door that wants to trade. I think they make an awesome rod and everyone can ride in it and most important its still a deuce.

When my kids were little, I towed a Hercules trailer behind my roadster. Car was filled with my wife and I in the front*****pit, and two carseats strapped into the rumble. Worked really well, and we had a lot of fun. After a time, the travelling complement was down to my older daughter and I, then just me, so the trailer wasn't needed much, but I still have it. Scoff if you like, but it really is a reasonable option.

    Keep the 5 Window.
Put one of those old wagons you have stashed away on the road.
You know what I'm talkin' 'bout!

Hi Louie, just going over some earlier ads and wonder if you still have the 5 window. Would it be for sale? Thanx, Jerry
