With the money left over from raw materials and tools, you would still have cash for some metal working cl***es. I couldn't give a **** about "henry ford steel"...I would have more pride in saying I built it from scratch, than bragging about my "henry ford steel" and empty pockets...but hey, thats just me

Me too. Just sayin that not all "restorers" think like us rodders. They want the real deal. That's probably this seller's target audience.

  4. From the metalworking skills I've seen on the HAMB, I'm sure you could find a guy to build one for a lot less and he would still make good money doing it. Who's going to inspect it and determine if it's genuine anyway?

  6. Yep I'm watching a few of these fellows and reality eludes them right up to the day they die.

  8. There is something very different about Henry ford steel. It bumps nice, it welds nice, and doesn't rot. The forgings are remarkably superior too.

Now weren't the sedan deliveries coach built ? And the rear door/doors made from the back section of the Sedan anyway.

The owner who is **** about originality. I'm not in that camp, but many are. I respect them for their dedication to purity, and that dedication costs a lot. Being a hot rodding forum, I understand that most here are not of this mindset, but it does exist. It's not any different than us wanting to use only traditional parts from back in the day, when building our hot rods. Those rare parts aren't cheap either.

somethings are just rare enough that just finding someone who needs it is a hard thing to do.So asking a big price really cuts that down.I was at a well known collectors shop awhile back he had a radio still in the box for a Tucker it was useless unless I had a tucker

^^^^ A Tucker radio is about worthless, they made hunderds of them and sold them before the cars ever hit the streets to raise working capital. Last one I saw was in in a '50 Chevy Coupe that I p***ed on. Bob

I'm sure everybody complaining about high prices ruining the hobby are selling their cars and parts for pennies on the dollar to help keep the hobby open for future generations. that's damn considerate of you guys.
