Hot Rods Amateur hour king pin issue

    Just to close the loop for the next person that finds this thread with a similar issue - I had the spindles reversed from side to side.

    There is no front or back of the axle and that is just another way of saying the spindles don’t know or care what side they are on. I thought @alchemy had the answer when he mentioned interference between the axle and the relief milled into the back side of the spindles.

    They make tools to measure this stuff! Use machining squares and see if the king pin will slide through the spindle and axle. Not rocket surgery!

    You just found out that there is more clearance on one side than the other. There really isn’t supposed to be a front and back of the axle.
