Just when you thought all the great cars had been found, another set of doors open to reveal an amazing collection of heavy metal. That was this enthusiast’s good fortune when he stumbled upon more than 20 rare and desirable vehicles laid to rest in a Maryland barn.
    Yes, they’re still out there!
We’ve all heard the stories. But how many of us get the opportunity to be part of a true “barn find?”
So with some skepticism, an Old Cars Weekly reader attempted to digest the impact of his friend’s message crackling through Ma Bell: “You gotta check this out. There’s a bunch of neat old cars in this barn including a 1937 Packard Twelve, a 1931 Renault town car and a 1912 Pierce."

This one is true guys. It isn't one of those hokey Portugese stories that is too good to be true.

Did I read it right? They say the guy found them a new home....so he's still alive and knew they were there? Did he just get tired of them being there, or did someone offer a solid chunk of change that got his attention?

That is really neat seeing all those cars come out of hiding...I wonder about the damage too...I kept wanting to tell that lady in the white shirt to stop pushing on the fender tips.

Sounds like the owner was a true enthusiast. Those cars wern't "long lost" treasures. I'm sure many serious collectors have known about them for years. Evidently, somebody finally did some haggling and made a deal to liberate them from their hiding places.

At least he kept them inside all these years!

some old guys will hang on to there stuff till its almost there last breath, even then its a struggle to admit they may not get to all those 100 projects they have lined up, some never give in and there kids get it all and give it away.

As the old saying goes, " One who dies with the most toys wins. "
