Does anyone happen to know the name, or where in Seattle that company is located the built the frame for that 54 Corvette buildup on this weeks American Hotrod TV show. Thanks Rod
Thanks guys, I have an idea for a rear bumper for my 51F1 puickup. I want to find out if they will sell me a piece of frame rail and put a slight bend in each end. I've seen a couple F1's on Ebay that had a bumper that looked like that and they looked real nice.
I don't know if I'd call it expensive, especially for what it is. It's not cheap but if you want to buy a frame with all kinds of "upgrades" you probably won't find a better price, and they make them for all kinds of cars that no one else does. I looked at the '57 Buick frame and I really couldn't build one any cheaper if you figure time, a jig, mandrel bent tubing etc....
Art Morrison mandrel bent the rear kick in my T frame out of 2x6 tubing, couldn't have worked out better. The only issue was I had to buy the tubing from them.
I believe they said 7 weeks until SEMA, so I'm guessing this weeks episode was filmed sometime in September 2005. Roy died before SEMA so it should happen before they get the cars done.
Another note, Craig Morrison (Arts son)is a HAMBer. I sold several of their ch***is and parts when I was at the rod shop, nice products, good people.
Oh my God! I guess I`m really out of touch. I had no idea that Roy had died! Very sorry to hear that! Art Morrison frames are one of the best if not the best on the market! As someone else said they will make you ANY upgraded frame for you, at a price of course! Very high quality work!
Yeah Art Morrison does fine work. IMO one of the finest names in the field. Yeah, I thought Boyd's show got cancelled. I'm outta touch too.
They have who I believe is Boyds son running the project in the wheel shop. Is this the guy who owns the cool little modified?
They have a message board. Boyd doesn't come on very often but his woman comes on and defends him from time to time. It's mostly drama and whining but did seem to have some content as I remember.
