Always a *****in show. The crowd was unreal this year, especially on auction day Sat, which saw some unreal pricing as well. But without further ado, enjoy these few of interest to "us types", maybe...?
Miller Mercedes. Check out the supercharger...

The rest I'm just gonna post up. A cpl blown Bugatti shots, some early Indy racer headers, an Indy car with whitewalls (!), and more. Enjoy, we did.

Not so sure about the whitewalls, just doesn't look right.

Thanx for sharing! I decided not to go this year - between the marginal WX forecasts and the new price of $125 - it would been a long drive from Tampa for naught ifn it had rained. At $125 per, Amelia has finally priced my blue collar self out of their market. I wonder how long before they ask Pebble Beach prices? Too bad we have to pay so much to see those incredible cars... even major museums rarely charge more than a 20 to get in. Post rant... please keep the photos coming, I appreciate them more than ever this year. Gary

As I remember the whitewalls were so they could tell the diff between team cars.

Check the helmet, that was Jim Clark. In 1966, he was "the man".

Yep, those WWW are pretty corny on the Lotus but they must have p***ed tech, eh? But nothing was as corny as the clown-suit STP overalls Granatelli did one year. Gary

All in all, quite a show. There's something here for everyone, as in most well done concours events. Where else can you see ultra rare and near priceless vintage artifacts seasoned with all out race cars and something like the Ed Pink 36? Everyone should attend one somewhere. Enjoy...

Curious what the race cars were bringing home. Had a model of this one as a kid and is that the K&K insurance car next to Petty's?

I know, I know, who let the redneck in? Can't help it, I love everything cars.
