One of my favorite movies! I haven't watched it in quite a while. I have the DVR set and ready to go. Thanks.
I wonder if the cat will answer the phone and set the dvr? I haven't seen the movie in years and it's always fun to watch.
Might be interconnected with the Petaluma Stuff that is going on this week ... a town where alot of the movie was shot. Just to get everyone in the mood ....
For the 'elder' movie fans, following Amer Graf. is "Rock around the Clock", with appearance by Bill Haley and the Comets! This is the 'National Anthem of Rock and Roll', gentlemen. Following 'Rock around the Clock' is 'Go, Johnny, Go!', the R&R film that promoted Jimmy Clanton. (Philadelphia Rock idol, IIRC) One of the last two has some hot rod cameos, (quick shots of hot rods, not Chev P/U with 'gl*** beds) also relying on steel-trap memory...I saw these two in the late '50s, and I'm older than 'late 50s'... But watch if you can. My sons laugh at how 'dated' the movies are, but I still think they're kinda 'current'...(too much HAMB?)
Plus Go, Johnny, Go! has the only movie appearance by Ritchie Valens (who died four months before the movie was released), lip-synching "Ooh, My Head".
It was the 'special edition' with added scenes and changed dates. And they also cut Milners line. When she says "my parents hate me" he answers "They don't hate you....or maybe they do. I don't know". Now he just says "they don't hate you". It was a funny line. People laughed. So why be so **** about it?
Yep, we have it on DVD and just watched it at the shop about a month ago. Never get tired of it no matter how many times we've seen it. Don
One of my favorites, And since my DVD player is busted and there was nothing else on it was perfect timing.
Watched the movie, again, last night and when it was over about I went out and took my truck for a cruise...with the lake style pipes uncorked, looking for some tuners in their usual spot but it was too early for them (about 10:30) so i came home and went to bed. But i was 17 again for a few minutes again. So many nice cars and good lines in that movie.
