I had a thread on here the other day now can't find it. Anyway I took you guys advice an ordered a lokar shifter from summit today. I bought the one that mounts to the floor itself. Going in my 53 Chevy pickup with a 350 turbo. Got the midnight series with the bench bend handle. Learned my lesson on going cheap! Thanks again for the input!

Bought the dual action can't get the mechanism to engage the pins and move the selector to get it out of gear. Plus it's so sloppy it will move out of gear without even pushing the cable down. Waited two months to get it from the Hoffman group off eBay. They kept saying be patient it was on its way. Just not happy with it. Still might try and figure out how to fix it but meanwhile I bought the lokar.

    ^ What Don Said.^
Took me 1/2 a lifetime to fully get it in my head.
Buying a ''knock off'' part is like ******* in your pants. Feels great while you do it, but then ya have to live with the results.
