Friends need help. Ammeter in Chevrolet 54 connects the electrical circuit in parallel or sequentially?

It should go in series not parallel.

From the output of the generator to the input of the voltage regulator. The output of the voltage regulator goes directly to the ammeter. The other side of the ammeter is connected to the dash clock and the starter solenoid. The starter solenoid connects back to the battery positive terminal.

This is ***uming you have a stock engine/electrical system.

What type of engine and charging system do you have in the car? Alternator or generator?

Depending on what you have there should be a big gauge wire coming from B terminal on voltage regulator (old style parts) or direct from battery terminal on alternator that is the main feed to the car. This ulitimately connects into battery and to feed the cars circuits under dash...ammeter interrupts this circuit.

The wiring diagram would make more sense if they showed the battery. I would install the ammeter in between the alternator + and the 'mega fuse box'.
