    I keep seeing this in threads and cannot figure out what it means I figured people may be hitting their shift key but 7amp doesn't always fit the context

    what am i missing here

    I thought that &amp = and but I have seen a few posts with both in it

  6. I've had it happen on other bulletin boards. I first noticed it at least 3 or 4 years ago. I think it might be some stray coding or some glitch in keyboard softwear from this particular company. This is a pretty popular application. It seems to show up only after I post something onto the bb. Never in email.

    I think Peddro is right.

    Or it's some sort of font/format compatibility issue,releted to punctuation.:cool:

    Is it usually found in a quote that has been Cut and Paste ?

    the correct syntax is & it is the proper site formatting to represent an ampersand "&". It should be displayed properly by your browser, but sometimes it's just not. :)

    all users should lookat thier own browsers and update them if possible ,you might be running a old browser ,oldschool is ok

    Bingo. It will be especially evident to many Internet Explorer users. For all you Windows users, go to your Windows Update feature and make sure that you have the latest updates for your browser.

    Firefox 1.0 is an excellent 'third party' browser if you're having fits with your IE. It's a free download as well.
