    Grew up here 1960-1990.....the metal shack style garages on the right were still there... 21 st st Astoria blvd.png

    The rod may not have broken, but the damage caused by being able to remove that rod, from that motor, in that condition, caused enough damage, the rod may as well have broken. It may had been better if the rod would have broken, at least something may have been salvaged. If, in fact that rod was actually ever in a motor...

    I love a good burnout on the strip, but not that interested in pure burnout pad cars. I suspect though that there is a lot more skill than just big engine, point and plant foot.

    For the curious, this is a GM HG Holden ('70-71).
