    Four things are abundantly clear:
    1) He is going to break the transmission if he keeps doing that (which probably doesn't matter).
    2) When he makes it into his 60s, he is going to wonder why his back hurts all the time.
    3) He IS having fun! The first two things probably don't matter.
    4) Hold my beer, watch this!

My starter solenoids seem to get stuck on the roadside. I've used rocks, crescent wrenches and Leatherman pliers for the percussion, and wheel braces, jack handles and 1/2" socket extensions to get enough reach. Never had the luxury of gentler tools.

    Cheers,

  25. Permanent magnet field coils. One way to make a permanent magnet not a magnet is striking it hard enough.

Australia's highways are capped at 68mph. Back before 2007, sections of the road in the Northern Territory (the middle bit of the country, up the top) had no speed limit. Drivers must choose a safe speed to suit conditions. It was a redneck's holy grail, I guess the way that German autobahns are now. The roads are unfenced, sometimes potholed, and often contained roadkill.

We did a roadtrip towing a trailer (caravan) that went through that way back when I was younger but no smarter. After parking the trailer, we took the opportunity to "choose a safe speed". Came around a curve only to find a white horse standing in the road. Thankfully the brakes worked. Not sure if the horse left road apples, but I nearly did.

    Cheers,
    Harv

    I don't think that is a GT.
It looks like a Ford XA Superbird, but without the falcon decals on the rear quarter panels.
