  4. That poor big block ford.
Probably never had an oil change just added oil when they heard the lifters tapping.
I bought a 72 Plymouth fury that had a 318 in it when I was in my early twenties and the inside of its engine looked very similar. Ironically that engine ran good until I ran an engine flush through it and plugged an oil galley.

This is why I would never do a engine or a transmission flush!

  8. I know a guy and his wife who run a locksmith shop. I was in their shop one day getting my ignition replaced in my OT car when my neighbor and her daughter came in and complained to the owners that since they had their ignition replaced the back windows of their car wouldn't roll down.o_O

From that day on everytime I'd go in to get a key made or whatever, I'd come up with a different (tongue in cheek) problem for them. They said the one they liked the best was when I said that since I got my ignition replaced my spare tire wouldn't hold air..:p

I worked with a fellow who said he once tried to jump a pile of gravel. Hint - you don't drive up it, you crash into it.

My son can attest to the fact that if the pile of gravel has the proper slope to it, the car can definitely get off the ground. I suppose it depends on what is considered a "pile of gravel. "
He and his buddies were "cruising" around in a gravel pit. He brought the car to my shop after "the exhaust fell off." All the rubber exhaust hangers were broken, and there was gravel on the top of the muffler and anything under the car that could hold gravel. His buddy let it slip out they were doing Dukes of Hazard jumps in the gravel pit (4 teenagers in an 82 Chrysler 5th Ave in about 1998-1999). The exhaust hangers broke after the 3rd or 4th jump.

Only us older geezers that were born in the 50's and raised in the 60's, will even have the slightest clue as to who "Fat Freddy's Cat" was and the "Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers" as well!
    Enjoy from Dennis.

I never thought of researching the title "Legacy 36" before using it for my project. Turns out it is also a BOAT!

...seems appropriate, considering the LAND YACHT I'm building.

No Big Thing is still around. Looks far different today though.

  19. My father told me do not to put an engine flush in it under any circumstances. I ignored his experience that's how you know I was young lol
Unfortunately he is no longer around to give me advice but I would definitely listen to it today.

I did a rebuild on my 4L60E trans,,,there are a lot more small filters than I thought, not just your "normal"filter.
How is a flush supposed to flush trough those?
