Many years ago ,maybe late '70s, an old timer from here died in the hospital. in Carson City. He was a miner and pro boxer. No family, no insurance. no money, lots of friends. We collected enough for a casket and hauled him on a friend's flatbed back to Dayton, NV. We held a wake with Teddy's casket standing in the corner of his favorite bar, The End of the Trail. When we were all drunk enough we took him to the cemetery where another friend dug a grave with his backhoe. A few more beers and several unsafe rounds fired mostly in the air away from town and Teddy was laid to rest. We retired to the bar to grieve.
