But there might be gold (or at least silver) at the bottom!

 

I’d be trying to drive that ****er out if the engine started. Might need some heat for the gas tank though.

 

There is plenty of gold & silver at the bottom. They had to abandon the mines because they filled with the water and the mines were below the level of the Carson River about 5 miles away.. Nowhere to put the water. They dug a 4 mile tunnel to try to drain it but the mines were already too deep.VC is an interesting spot that will someday likely collapse into a big hole. Hope it doesn't happen during Hot August Nights.

I understand no rear view mirrors, nothing to see back, seeing where you are going would be helpful.

 

I’m guessing this was someone doing something dumb. Not sthe first and definitely won’t be the last! You Tube has 100’s of them.

 

It has been said that "Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely". I wonder if that applies to horsepower.

 

I’ll volunteer for the study to prove or disprove it…
