In the mid 70s, our Montgomery Wards store was moving to it's new home in the new Mall outside of town. They had a big sale at the old store with a lot of obsolete stock. I remember they had a remanufactured Ford flathead in a crate there for sale. I don't remember the price.

Got a couple of those that have been under the porch where the boys left them. I checked them a few days ago and they work just fine!

Back when the show started filming, that era Charger did not have a very large following. The word was, they killed off under 300 cars over the entire series run time, but those first 50 or so wrecked cars tuned an unpopular car into a legend. There was not a problem finding donor cars until after the 2nd season. That show is what made the 68-70 Charges popular. It wasn't until a few years after the show made the cars popular, that the crying about wrecking all those cars started.

I had a beat up 69 Charger I was using as a daily driver that I bought for $100. A local guy just had to have that 69 because of the show. He traded me a pretty nice 68 and some money to get my 69. According to him, the 68 just was not good enough! He could have swapped out the 68 grille for the 69 grille, and replaced the round side markers the 68 had for the rectangular side marker lights the 69 had, for less then the money then he gave me in additioin to giving up a much nicer car, just to have that 69 Charger. Even though I told him that, he still insisted in the trade. Five years later, we were still both happy with the deal, so I guess it was a good one.

OK, this guy has way bigger balls then I have!
Or he is way more crazy then I am...

Either way, if he was standing in front of me demanding my "Man Card" I'd probably have to give it to him.

They rented these in Zermatt Switzerland for 65 francs for 4 hours you put them on the gondola and haul them up the mountain and fly back down on the hiking trails

I'm guessing you had to sign a liability waiver...

Me too; but I always did like the 68's better than the 69's.

It's just a six. It couldn't have enough power to hurt anything.
