    "and Thomas,
    riding a German D.K.W. machine.
the only foreign entry in this
    class,"
D.K.W. was the source for †he 2 stroke engines used for the Harley Hummer & BSA Bantam. The rights to the engine design were part or reparations Germany was forced to pay after WWII. And for some strange reason Yamaha used them too, maybe they just copied them.

I heard that as lock them in the the garage. Better chance they'll be alive to be let out. Maybe you don't have to leave them in the trunk as long.

I remember working at AutoZone and someone needed a part that was fairly common. They gave me a rundown like that and then said what they needed. I simply asked them what color it was and when he answered I said no problem and went and got him the part. He had a look just like that and asked how I knew. I told him all the blue ones used that part.

  16. You guys laugh about left handed crescent wrenches, but I have a set of 4 from Harbor Freight, made in China, that the adjusters turn the opposite direction of what a normal one does. Really quite annoying. Might be great for a lefty though.

Years ago my old boss had one from a Volvo that was like that. Never seen another.

Sure wish I could have been there to watch as this load passes through that 1st 14' high interstate underpass at 65 mph. Bet that was a big mess.

I'm not the only one to stop the valve leak with a small hose clamp. This one is on a Model A wheel. hoseclamp.jpg

My Uncle, born in 1914 was blathering one day, of the plight of tires in the days of depression
The use of steel trash cans led to the bottoms being worn through leakers.
The lack of plastic bags meant Rubbish was 'freeform'.
Victrolas needed the steel needles ( no diamond tips ) replaced after a couple plays.
If needles were tossed into 'the can' chances were they would wind up as litter on the street.

    Got it?

Bamboo Victrola needles were much friendlier. A toothpick would sorta' work for a while.
