Crotch-rocket chick lost my respect when she tried to make this board into her own dating pool/attention whore fodder. That being said, I guess I'd better behave myself since I'm still fairly new. Great board, Ryan. Thanks for putting up with all the BS involved in running it.
'attention whore fodder' LOL-gotta love it! I do catch myself at lights seeing if anyone notices the ride-maybe this applies to me, too?
I'm glad I found the HAMB. I was wearing Brylcream in my hair back in the '80's, years before the term "Old School" was coined. 1968 is about as far back as I can remember. That's when I saw a Hot Rod for the first time. I hope the fact that I like some of the design elements of that car will not get me banned from this board. Tunnel-ram intake manifolds made their first known drag strip appearance on the legendary Ram Chargers "High and Mighty" '49 Plymouth in 1959. I think Cragar SS wheels came out in '61 or '62. If I show up at next year's HAMB drags will my Model A be deemed too new? I hope not. I want to achieve the goals I set for myself thirty-some years ago. Please allow me the privilege of participating in and learning from this valuable resource. I have a set of rusty 49 truck wheels and an appropriate intake manifold. It goes against my nature, but I would comply with the club dress code, rather than face banishment. I only ask that you allow me to polish my Cragars in the privacy of my own home.
It is NOT just the newbie's. Go back and check some of the 'word's o' wisdom' on the thread's of yore. What you write, is what's inside. What consume's your thought's, controll's your life.

[/ QUOTE ] Dude, lighten up... nobody is saying that Cragars and tunnel rams are bad... people posting pics of their weenies and posts about their cousin's uncles brothers neighbor who is dying of cickle cell anemia... yea.... but genuine old hot rod stuff will always be cool here... Sam.
I'm one of the new guys with less than a year, but welcome the clean-up! Too many good post here to let the bad ones trash it up. I can't imagine the time that it must take to deal will all of this. Thanks for the efforts! Tim
was bound to happen sooner or later..their has been so much o/t that all the on topics been pushed off the map... good luck guys..
[ QUOTE ] I believe it was a pretty senior member who posted the picture of the penis. I almost lost a very good paying career over that fucking picture. The Batallion Chief of my entire fire department was in the computer room when that picture came up on the screen. He saw it and banned me from using any work computers anymore. A Batallion Chief can fire me right on the spot. Thanks to whatever asshole did that, I'd sure like to see you get spanked hard by Ryan's boot. [/ QUOTE ] Ummm, I guess your boss didn't care when you were reading the Hamb and came across the pics of half nekid women with their titties and pooters hanging out? Men...
as a newbie I'm sorry I let the few trouble makers get my goat and I ended up stirring up more garbage for the site. Sorry Ryan, wont let it happen again, And I wont post my V**KWag*N again. I will just help the site any way I can. Yall have help me out alot. Trust me, I wouldnt be able to fabricate the suicide front end without yall or my split windshield. This place is exploding with great Ideas. The people I have met on this site in person have been very helpful, its a great community I think we just need to get back to our roots a little and remember what we are all about. Building cars and having fun. Not busting balls and playing yatzee. You old timers are the best I learned that from my gramps two weeks ago when we did my chop top. So much to learn from One mind. Never underestimate an oldtimer, RESPECT, RESPECT, RESPECT.
Welcome back Ryan. It is more than an undertaking to get all you have got going on. Built a house and planned a wedding at the same time, almost 1 of the two wasn't gonna happen...Been there Buddy, and all I can say is I feel your pain. You know, I don't get an opportunity to spend a lot of time on the computer, but I enjoy the read at times. If we were to go by number of posts, hell, I'm a newbie, even though I registered in '01. If I click on a topic and I don't have something to add constructive, I don't post for just getting my numbers up, doesn't mean that much to me to have a million-six posts. From what I've read, looks like I really missed some ignorant BS that happened. I have a young man that has tried to register since we got back from the HAMB Drags and has yet to gain entrance. Not saying he'll have a lot to contribute at a young age, but he is learning...
if i need a kick in the pants just say - i'm sure i step outta line at times as i'm still feeling my way around good ta have ya back though
Ol' Skool HAMB Memberz thanks!! More hot rod stuff please....LESS pics of anything else! Can we have ONE separate pinned post for intros?? I'm sick of seeing 6-page posts EVERY time a chick intros.
Still the coolest place on the Web, no doubt... A little buff-n-polish will bring back the shine... We can see the prize beneath the recent BS, and we always will. Glad things are working our for ya Ryan..Life sounds good for you... ...welcome back home. Scotch~!
I'm one of the new members, but am here to learn about nostalgia rodding and how to improve my ride, Cheers for the great site and welcome the clean up. Cheers and beers Jimbob
I was taken well care of when I first attended Hamb I really like this "place" , but as you ( Ryan ) says , Things aint what they should have been ! I like to belive that if fellow Hambrs`"know" you , then you can every now and then ask a "OT"- Q , mainly because you are among Friends ... Like , you have posted a lot of on-topic issues , and then one day you need help with an issue concerning your daily driver, soo , you ask your friends on Hamb for help.. Anyway , .. I hope we still can share know-how about "Out-of-topic"-Q`s every now and then aslong as we mainly stay on-topic ..
Um..I think I came in during all the "socalled" B.S.I figured thats how this place operated..Guess I figured Wrong.. anyway.. Im not gonna appologize if I offended anybody,I offend people daily in the REAL world,Why should you guys be any different I started on the HAMB..learned a few things..met some really cool people (you know who you are) Talked to some cool people..If thats wrong!,I guess I got whats coming to me,Huh? No disrespect,Thanks for giving me a place to hang out!
Ryan, just do whatsa got do when ya gotta do it, let the chips fall where they may. if someone has been warned & can't follow the rules, then its AMF.............joe
