Hey all... been looking in at the H.A.M.B. for a lot of years now (it's a fantastic resource for guys trying to do it the original way) and thought it was past time I joined. I've been a gearhead for a lot of years now, probably starting when my father came home with a 430-powered 58 Mercury Monterey that he used as a commuter. (Gas was a LOT cheaper back then, and even in those days he complained about the cost of leaded premium.) The obsession stayed with me through a pro rally career, a love affair with motorcycles, and has culminated in a nostalgia drag effort with my partner - an E/MP 67 Bel Air, a 63 Max Wedge clone and our latest project, a Packard-powered 54 Studebaker B/G. Also into old customs (NOT kustoms, TYVM) but that's another story. Oh, the name? It's what they call me on the local paintball field. Probably because of the beard and suspenders. And the hat.
Welcome from SW Missouri. I used to play paintball with my sons, but my bad knees (and age) finally stopped me. Still have my Karnivor in the suit case. Great Game! Anyway, welcome and enjoy the ride.
Welcome to the H.A.M.B. from Nor Cal and the Cam-Snappers Hot Rod Club! Check out the club group! Love to have ya! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/g...hp?groupid=619
